Two Utes, Two Stories, One Big Country
G'day! We're Karleah and Paul, the two utes and two stories behind Adventure Lifestyle.
Karleah spent most of her adult life in uniform. Paul's a sparky. Now we're somewhere on a dirt track in a 2012 Hilux and a 2016 79 Series, filming the remote corners of Australia most people will never see.
This isn't picture-perfect Instagram stuff. It's hidden campsites where the only light pollution comes from the Milky Way. It's corrugations that test your 4WD and your patience. It's being completely off-grid and trusting your gear and your mate to get you through.
We've learned plenty the hard way, getting bogged, nearly running dry, setting up camp in howling winds in the dark. Through our YouTube channel and this site, we share the gear that actually works, the tracks worth tackling, and the destinations that'll make you fall in love with this country all over again.

The Utes
Two very different utes, set up the same way: for going a long way from help. Long-range fuel and water, solar, recovery gear, and enough spares to get ourselves out of trouble. Between them they've done some of the roughest tracks in the country - Steep Point, the Gibb River Road, Purnululu and the Savannah Way to name just a few.
Paul's Ride
The 79 Series (2016)
Paul's pride and joy and built for long term touring off grid, this rig is the workhorse of the convoy carrying the most precious cargo for each trip - beers. Twin locked on 35s, this glorified farm ute can tackle just about every track in the country.

The Hilux (2012)
Karleah has added 170,000km to this beast since purchasing it, built it up gradually over the past 10 years and driven it all over the country from Broome to Cairns to the Eyre Peninsula and a heck of a lot in between.
Every route we sell, we've driven.
We don't publish routes we haven't done ourselves. Every GPX pack, every campsite, every "watch the washouts and ruts here" note comes from us actually being there - usually with the cameras rolling, so you can watch the episode and see exactly what you're in for before you commit.
